Classic Kitchen / Diner
Our client’s existing kitchen was quite a generous size but was intended for use as a kitchen/diner as they love to entertain so there was a large table to accommodate and the space that the actual kitchen was to be placed in was quite compact. Other planning considerations were the number of doors and windows in the room which meant that wall space was limited.
Our Bespoke Build & Installation
The brief was to create a modern hardworking kitchen despite the modest size. Our client requested a lot of storage space, but wanted flexible oven space, decent cold storage and, lacking a utility room, we had to incorporate a washing machine into the kitchen.
We were able to make the best use of an area under the stairs by creating bespoke units to house appliances and provide attractive and practical storage.
Our client chose the Stoneham Knole furniture range painted in French grey for its timeless appeal. They selected Neff, Caple and Air Uno appliances that worked hard and looked great and went hand in hand with maximising every meter of kitchen. A peninsular divided the spaces and provided essential storage and work space as well as incorporating an induction hob with a ceiling extractor located in a bespoke curved bulkhead that our installers created with feature lights.
From the layout and appliances to the colour palette chosen, this kitchen makes the room look airy and light and creates an impression of space.
As part of the project we also quoted for and subsequently installed new windows and doors to the whole house, replacing the current patio doors in the kitchen with PVCu bi-folds to open up the house and the garden.
The proof of any kitchen is how your customers feel about it after you have finished and when we returned to site to do a 3 month check-up our client confirmed that they now spent all their time in the kitchen and they entertain most weekends.
