Classic Kitchen Diner with Walk in Pantry

Our Client was looking for a practical kitchen as they do lots of cooking but with an elegant feel to suit their period property. They wanted the room to feel light and spacious with classical touches throughout.

Stoneham’s ‘Cudham’ furniture range was selected by the client for is classic look with cashmere chosen as the paint colour. ‘Fiji’ quartz worktops were then added to bring interest and a touch of sparkle to the room

Our client was keen to keep with gas as her cooking method but didn’t want an extractor at eye level getting in her way, therefore we specified the Elica NT Flame gas hob which is a self-contained extractor and cooktop, which allowed this wall to remain open and uncluttered with the gorgeous ‘Fiji’ stone running up the wall between the windows.

Elsewhere the brushed steel cup handles provide interest and suit the traditional style of kitchen. The rear wall has previously served little purpose in the kitchen and wanting to maximise every available space for the client, we suggested using this wall for tall furniture.

With limited depth due to the back door position, a bespoke shallow cupboard with shelving was designed to the left-hand side of the run. Once away from the door, the middle section of the wall could then be used to house the side-by-side tall fridge and freezer, both by Neff.

The existing storage cupboard was then transformed into a hidden pantry using a bespoke door from the matching furniture range to allow access without spoiling the look of the furniture run. The pantry was then shelved according to the clients’ requirements.

Rather than having a another tall cupboard for cooking appliances, which may have made the space feel closed in, a mid- height cabinet was suggested for housing the Miele Ovens. This creates a softer look and allows worktop storage above.

A bespoke reduced depth cabinet was then installed around the brick pier, with shelved storage throughout. A lovely feature throughout is the gorgeous skirting plinths used on this kitchen which add a real touch of class and traditional beauty.

Just leading off from the kitchen is this beautiful dining area, with matching Stoneham ‘Cudham’ furniture painted in Cashmere. The two tall cabinets at the rear of the room with their triple panelled doors create a real statement of luxury whilst providing ample storage for the client. One is used as a drinks cabinet and the other for storing tableware and trinkets. A truly exquisite dining space.
