Our clients in Hertford, Mr & Mrs V, were looking for a modern, uncomplicated, family kitchen as part of a larger refurbishment project that we were undertaking in their home. Having opened up the downstairs of their home significantly, the kitchen was to be at the heart of it all, perfect for when their children and grandchildren come to visit.
Our client was looking to keep everything light and neutral, enjoying the calmess and serenity that these tones provide, so Stoneham’s ‘Latitude Diffuse’ handless range in ‘Cashmere Super Matt’ was the perfect choice. ‘Snowy Ibiza’ quartz worktop was then selected complement to the furniture, blending seamlessly together.
The large central island was to be the main food preparation area with its interrupted worksurface and central location enabling you to chat to guests in the adjacent dining area whilst chopping. Amble storage surrounds the island for cooking apparatus and dishes.
The bespoke dresser cabinet was designed to house our clients beloved coffee machines and associated crockery making it a drinks hub. The bi-fold doors give you the option to use the coffee machines in situ but also to keep its contents out of sight when not in use to maintain clutter free worktops.
The bank of Miele cooking appliances includes 2 full ovens plus a steam oven and a microwave combination oven. More than adequate to cater for friends and family, with flexible cooking options depending on the number of guests.
When it came to refrigeration our clients loved the style and function of an American fridge freezer but wanted to keep an integrated look throughout. Therefore the integrated Fisher & Paykel American fridge freezer was the perfect solution. This large capacity refrigerator with bottom freezer seamlessly integrates fitting flush into the furniture.
A side view of the island shows the client’s wine cooler, which is situated within easy reach of the adjacent dining table. A lovely feature is Stoneham’s signature corner drawers. These drawers are a fantastic way to maximise that often tricky corner space and enable easy access to its contents.
